As Christmas draws ever closer, many of us are starting to feel the strain on our financial resources as we embark on our holiday shopping in preparation for the big day.

Due to the fact that this is the case, the government has decided to provide a one-time Christmas bonus payment to thousands of individuals who receive particular sorts of assistance. This particular payment is referred as as DWP XB.

Those who are eligible will have a one-time payment of ten pounds deposited into their bank accounts straight from the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP). In most cases, the payment of the automatic bonus takes place during the first week of December.

Who is Eligible for the DWP XB Programme?

According to the government, in order for members of the general public to qualify for the one-time payment, they must be "present or 'ordinarily resident' in the UK, Channel Islands, Isle of Man or Gibraltar during the qualifying week."

The qualifying week is normally the first full week of December, which begins on Monday, December 5 and ends on Sunday, December 11. This year, the qualifying week runs from Monday, December 5 to Sunday, December 11.
